Marta Luzim, MS – The Facts
“We live in a multi-dimensional, multi-personality universe, fragmented by trauma and blessed with unconditional love.
Healing is a lifetime journey of gathering, integrating, feeling, expressing and individuating from unconscious and limiting generational and societal family beliefs and patterns. Life is a puzzle, not to figure out, but to experience. Trauma causes shame, grief, the defense of false identities, unexpressed fear and grief, frozen memories, and lies about who we are. This pretense and cover up causes power/control, avoidance and isolation.
Your body gets ill and your mind confused by false myths which deaden your soul. The cause and cure lies within your heartbreak….and retrieval of the inner child who lost the connection to her/his soul. Deep within you is a tender, fierce and loving guide that wants you to experience life as a fu*king awesome journey—wants you to mend, heal, create, expand and come out of silence. Your story tells the truth of what it means to human. You are the inspiration you are searching for. Vulnerability and radical self-acceptance are the fulcrum to intimacy and creative power.” – Marta Luzim, MS
My Professional Calling
In Woody Allen’s movie “Bananas”, which was so ahead of its time, he joins up with a South American revolutionary to overthrow the current dictator. The rebel leader claims to want freedom and justice for all.
Woody helps to win the overthrow. When the leader of the revolution steps into the new position of Presidency, he stands on the steps of the Capitol and shouts, “I now declare that Monday is Tuesday.” That is what I believe is happening now. Monday is now Tuesday.
At a lecture I attended at Florida Atlantic University, Erica Jong said, “Women’s rights are democratic rights. Women’s rights are like democracy— if we don’t fight for them, they will be gone.”
As a woman, I fight for those rights for myself and for all women.
As a sacred healer, wisdom guide, metaphysician, psychospiritual healer, emotional intuitive, creative muse, intimacy trainer, and somatic body-breathwork primal scream emotional energy therapist, I help you explore what feels chaotic, painful and misunderstood in your life.
I listen deeply. I observe and feel your story and the pieces that need to be discovered, expressed and released so you can reconfigure, re-emerge and reclaim your body, mind, soul and heart and change your life.
I have been working with women, families and couples from every walk of life for over forty years. I have a practice as a Psychospiritual Therapist, with an MS in Counseling Psychology from Nova University and BS in Education.
I have studied with master teachers of depth psychology, shamanism, Jungian psychology, Kabbalah, mythology, and mysticism. I am a Next Level Practitioner as a member of NICABM, studying with experts in the field of trauma. I am certified as a Kaizen creative coach, Metaphysician through Lao Russell’s Science of the Cosmos training, somatic body worker, emotional intuitive, breath worker, and intimacy trainer under the guidance of Doug and Naomi Moseley.
As an educator, I taught children through right hemispheric learning using imagery, mindfulness, and creative processes. I taught third, fifth and gifted classes. After leaving the public school system I taught in colleges and libraries, holding workshops for teachers for Creative Learning and Consciousness to be taught in the classroom.
Maureen Murdock’s Heroine’s Journey, Linda Leonard’s Meeting the Madwoman, Marion Woodman’s Pregnant Virgin, Clarissa Estes’ Women Who Run with the Wolves, Savina Teubal’s Sarah the Priestess and Lost Civilizations of the Matriarchs, Anne Schaef’s work, The Living Process and her books on codependency, intimacy and addiction, Melody Beattie, and Charlotte Kasl’s Women, Sex and Addiction have had major influence on my personal and professional work with women.
The poetry of women such as Joy Harlo, Erica Jong and Adrienne Reich, memoirs by Dani Shapiro, artwork by Frida Kahlo, Georgia O’Keefe, Vincent Van Gogh, Matisse and most of the impressionists have inspired me as a female artist and writer and muse to others.
I am an expert on women’s issues, family issues, trauma, abuse, addiction, and recovery. As an artist, writer, and healer I advocate for and pioneer work with female trauma, using spiritual, psychological and creative processes to evoke women’s voices, visions, and healing.
Marta as Artist and Writer
My life has been a Heroine’s journey, seeking and claiming love. My saviors have been and still are my creative nature, my intuitive intelligence, my feminine legacy, writing and art.
I have written five books: The Calling, Heart of a Woman, Little Book of Consciousness, Conscious Companion, and Cry Kali, Voices From My Soul. I have had two staged productions, Breathing Under Water in 2000 and Vows of Love in 2004. In addition, I produced a docudrama called Primal Urgency. My paintings can be seen on the Gallery page. I’ve published articles on woman’s issues and creativity. I am President and founder of Give Her A Voice, Inc, a 501c3 nonprofit producing multi-media plays called The Telling, showcasing woman’s gutty, gritty stories of recovery from abuse. www.giveheravoice.org
The process of writing and healing is unique and intricate. An individuation practice that allows my voice and vision to integrate the complexity and contradictions of my life.
The remembrance that art is life. That life is messy. Art is messy. Life is imperfect. There is no either/or. Just and, and, and that leads to expansion. Shaping fragmented memories into cohesiveness, piece by piece, creates a real and imperfect wholeness into the core of my deeper story. That is how I enter my self-healing, through my intuitive, artist and emotional, psychic knowing.
